Experiences

TuneUp

I volunteered as a TuneUp Ambassador for the Birmingham 2022 Festival part of the commonwealth games. I learned from art industry professionals and taught children the artistic skills I knew and learned on several occasions at a local primary school pushing the fact that art can be for everyone and anyone can do it. Furthermore, we contributed to a summer school week, where all types of children came together to learn more about the creative sector, specifically art. When asked I would talk to them about my passion for game design and animation which always seemed to impress the young children and hopefully inspire them in some way or another.

Software Academy

I worked at Software Academy as work experience as this is where I built my foundation of knowledge for game design and where I learned to use and build games in Unreal Engine. My teacher as well as the Academy were kind enough to offer work experience which was a super exciting and fun experience. I assisted in teaching as well as taught lessons in Unreal Engine 4 to primary school children who came for a summer school course. While I enjoy teaching, It was a new experience and as the week progressed I felt myself become less and less nervous and started to become more comfortable with teaching the children, engaging the classroom and adapted to the environment as a whole

Managing Director at FINAL games

It is interesting to create my own company. I create so many games but never end up officially publishing them because I simply am not happy with so many parts of them. However, I realise that I will never be happy there will always be imperfections and things I could have done better. Furthermore, having a company makes everything feel more official and hence even more pressure to produce something substantial and 'perfect'. Nonetheless I think it is really helpful to have a good brand I can be associated with and am excited to use it properly in the future.
